Got one. Shure Sm-57 to be exact. Story goes, my friend moved to Finland. He recorded a bunch of rhymes to a cassette and mailed it back to me. So ya, shit is dirty, but I read these forums a bit and it seems like people like the dirt around here.

Yes buried. I guess some people just can't handle the dirt haha. Naw I expected lots of people to think its too dirty like my parents or my folk singing neighbors, but not the sp-forums! Just to inform there are various layers of dirt, first off its recorded to cassette, second, bit crusher, third saturation, then hard compression. Anyways thanks for listening though, I might de grit my next ish a bit, but probably not because that's my steeze.
Anybody else?

yo i can dig what everyones saying about the vocal levels. it makes it hard hear inbetween the start and end of a line. try sidechaining some if your using that much compression.

otherwise i think the beat matches your energy alot. i think this track needs more hi fi than lofi and itll knock...

The beat is alright man but the vox ruin it to the point it hurts one's ears to listen. Send him your sm57, sounds like he recorded himself via the built-in mic on the tapedeck. Can barely hear him. There's a world of difference between low fidelity and low quality. Seriously dude take some pride in your work. No one will even bother to listen to your shit if they think it's all gonna sound like this.

This is an experiment. Your not really supposed to be able to hear every word. I'm new here but have lots of previous stuff that's "normal". Anyways, appreciate the feedback, I was certain there would be cats that felt this way. Guess its just not for you. Hate to sound condescending, but some people just wont get it and I'm cool with that. Although after hearing your feedback, I think I'm going to try and smooth it out a bit, I understand it actually is pretty hard on the ears.
