555 vs 404 Mic In effect capability question

Hey all. First post!
So I use a 555 and my band has found that using the mic and applying effects to mic in has been very useful.
I want a second sampler to expand our capabilities and was thinking i can do the hard work on the 555 and then just fill the 404 with samples. but the one thing that i absolutely must be able to do on my future 404 is apply effects to Mic in.. it doesn't look like it even has the right mic plug on the 404 so am i going to have to get two 555s two run two simultaneous mic-in lines on different affects while playing samples as well?
