Sp-404 & RC-50

Hello everyone. New guy here. I am waiting for my 404 in the mail. Kinda trying to figure out a way to work it into my setup. Will the MIDI work with an RC-50? i.e. match the tempo... or would it be better to work the MIDI in with other stuff with MIDI ports?
