anyone break the door of their 4 track(414 mkII) ? can it go back on

I dont have a 414 but i broke the door on my porta one a while back and i got it back on

did a lil tiny peice of plastic break off the door hinge ?

its holding together with tape now .

i used a four track for awhile with a busted door. it still worked. just had to be really careful getting tapes in and out.

do NOT lend the four track to a friend!

yo i dropped my 4 track this morning and it landed on the adapter and it wouldnt power up, so i looked at the power area and the pin was missing so , i said fuck it might as well take it apart, and i found the pin just bent inside of the machine, so i bent it back into place but its loose so im going to glue it, and if it glitches ill get my dad to solder it. but i took a pic because some people on here might wanna know what the inside looks like , damn im so hard on my gear. i guess thats whhy i get more affordable gear these days , cause i always fricken break shit.

i will be holding the memorial today.

here lies johnny 4 track, he will be remembered through his last owner dope cuts. dope cuts and the tascam had lots of good times together, but dope cuts would always sleep beside it and knock it off the bed. Early monday morning dec 2008 , the 4 track fell off the bed for the last time, after trying to revive the 4 track in an emergency rescue operation, dope cuts accidently cracked the pcb and we had no choice but to pull the plug. 4 track you will be greatly missed and respected. Your legacy will live forever .
