BIT ON THE SIDE: SP Beat(les) Battle

So a little bird tells me that, once upon a time, multiple battles would be going on at once? With that in mind, here's an idea I recently had for one. So as to not step on the toes of the usual concurrent battle, it'll run for longer and, altho a poll may be taken, it won't run onto another one - the winner'll just get street cred. Something for those with musical ADHD to do when they've finished doing t'other battle, when it arrives...

Aaaaaaaanyway...

I recently changed laptops and, whilst doing so, I discovered one half of the samples from a project I was planning on starting about 10 years ago but never really got stuck into, and so I thought it might be fun to put them up here to see what could be done. Also, timely due to another Disney+ barrel scraping.

Rules is rules - SP family samplers only (MS-1, SP202 etc, all the way through to MkII & P-6). Only supplied samples plus own bass. A little outside effects biznezz and jiggery pokery but not too much - honour system. External pitching for non-MkII/MS-1/202etc users is OK. Post a bit about your chain/process/gear etc.

Closes end of Jan-ish/February some time?

I never could be any other way...

For the pedants among us - feel free to go hog wild with the pitching. As I thought would be obvious, it referred more to the outside fx and jiggery pokery part. No one likes too much jiggery pokery.

Sure. It is an SP really, and is more limited than the MkII, so why not?

What is the purpose of ruling out the older SPs?

¿Qué? All SPs are allowed, plus MS-1, P-6.

"SP-legacy samplers only (MS-1 through to MkII)". Had to put 'only' as there's been some open comps recently where any samplers were allowed, including that Koala app.

Ah, my bad. Misunderstood. Thanks for explaining!
