Wow, amazing entries before I say more and my votes, this was hard to choose. Can I suggest OG.TIGER get his own category of award??? Took it to the next level that I think goes beyond what’s up in the votes, even if it’s an SPBB385 tape and all the entries are just features to HIS title tape!!

TGN- the way everything opens up and comes together at 1.20 mark, you had me right there

ROTH- something nostalgic about it done it for me, had that sound id hear from my dad’s CDs in the car, that smooth, spacey trippy stuff, loved it.

U_J_F_R- what can I say, I’m a sucker for synths everything blended well and hearing the samples blend near the end really made the beat feel like a journey even though there was not a lot going on, really dig it (been listening to the download since u submitted).

I really wanted to vote for OG.TIGER but it was hard, went for a 1 track each standard, and that’s why I wanna suggest we do something to honour that entry bigger than winning this SPBB

I didn't think I had time, so rushed it out. really struggled with this one and actually didn't synth any of it. it was all samples just tightly looped and resampled for that synth kinda sound. Subsonic the bass note and then tried to tune it with the sample.

track is a thicky. kept waiting for a kung fu breakdown in the middle

ROTH - makes em squirt with this smooth texture layers and snappy drum loop. felt like I was preparing for an Ayahuasca trip

WOE - keeps mastering the technique of the chop. eHHhhh get the faq back ehHhh u moody on this 1 gee. flutes are sounding warbled <3

TGN - with a crusty 808 nighttime vibe just making the cut
would love to hear some 100 110 bpm sequenced drums with those same sounds

also, I would like to say. about a year ago i posted lamenting about engagement in the battles. we all rallied and it grew but slowly. it's nice to see so many folks in the arena again. it's pretty awesome to see so many of you all here, thank you. new and old, y'all are keeping this strange unique thing alive. there is nothing like it around. especially with the rise in ai and bots and that shit. we are so real. so fucking real here. its such a pocket of human in the shit that is happening. once again. thank you.

I’ve tried to microchop like that before, I used it in a tape on my Soundcloud, but I never got it to get that synthy sound, just more a sustained and interesting chop. Would love to get some tips one day

A lot of creativity there. was glad to hear the Run Run Raw tag again! Been a while. I voted Green Dutch liked the sound, mood and chops.

"Ayo", I made a B-side with instrumental only so that you can guess samples! "doot-doot-doot Machine Gun". Used the MPc on the Isaac Hayes sample flip and drums on Benny the butcher freestyle. way easier for me. Acapellas? I adapted the BPM of the beat on the mkii, Pattern for beats and Pad for Acapella. If it sounds good I keep it otherwise i try again or use another acapella. Et voilà

Great Sample selection btw. At first i was like hmmm did the first beat in 30 minutes. Then listened to the whole samples again thought there was a lot of material to do a tape.
