but cant i record straight out the 555 without a mic ?? like press mic and talk or play guitar and i understand it might not be the best recording but i wanted to hit record when all my friends are chillin at my studio some funny ass random shit you know so i can capture that shit its hella funny somtimes anyway hope this made sense

the internal mic is hella weak, but it's better than nothing. when i've used it i really had to crank the input level. haven't tried it for capturing sounds at a distance, i'm interested to hear that

oh...I thought u said WITH a mic yea...the built in mic is pretty crappy. but u can always experiment.
