Sex, women, and 404s. These are the first things that come to mind when we think of pleasure, but for many beat-makers on here, the all too rare opportunity to participate in an SP-USER Beat Battle or Poll thread is what really makes them hard!

Today, we have for your pleasure the works of two very talented beat-makers who not only participated, but did so against all odds considering the source sample used was selected by yours truly. We also have a direct head-to-head situation between the two participants, which means that if enough people manage to log in, is should be like watching a horse race to the end!

Will it be the highly-paced rhythmic bliss of Asha C's rhythmically-charged beat, or will it be the more intimate take demonstrated by The Wayward Pressman's "Requiem for TGN"?

Well I really enjoyed listening to both but have voted for Asha C since I was impressed by how much quicker it was made to sound compared to the source sample used, and it just seems to flow really well.

Loving what The Wayward Pressman did too though, which is a very different take that actually, I think feels more intimate (or possibly intiricate is also a good word for it), but I had to choose one and I suppose this time I just went along with the rhythmical aspect more than the intricate.

Honestly would have been happy to place my vote on either

Another one for Asha... beat trips along nicely, liked bookending it with the reversed sample, smooth melody from the sampled strings and it even has a B section. Give me this, a j and a cold beer on a sunny terrace and I'm a happy man.
