Whats up SP-FAM? It's been a long time since I've kicked it.

Who is down for a little MORTAL KOMBAT TOURNEY?!!

Ya boy won the last tourney! So, I'm here to host and bring you this next one! Who saw the new MK flick that came out this year? I thought it was dope! If you're down, dust off your controllers, start crate diggin', and sign up below!

YOU DON'T NEED TO USE AN SP! LAST TOURNEY WE LEFT IT OPEN FOR EVERYONE, SO LET'S DO THE SAME THIS YEAR. If enough cats sign up, I will draw names from a hat to determine who goes head 2 head!

I call dibs on Sheng Tsung, he was my choice last time.

TOURNAMENT WILL BE HEAD 2 HEAD BATTLES!

EACH PLAYER MUST SIGN UP PICKING A CHARACTER FROM ANY OF THE MORTAL KOMBAT UNIVERSES!

EACH PLAYER MUST USE THEIR OWN HAND PICKED/DUG SAMPLES AND USE YOUR DRUM SAMPLES! YOU MUST SHARE THE SAMPLE YOU USED TO CREATE YOUR BEAT! THIS WAS A RULE LAST TOURNAMENT! SO MAKE SURE YOU SHARE THE LINK OR NAME OF THE TRACK YOU USED. SOME CATS HATE ON THIS, BUT IT WAS PROBABLY MY FAVORITE PART OF THE TOURNAMENT! SO DON'T BE SHY, SHOW US WHAT YOU'RE LISTENING TO AND SAMPLING!!!!!

MUST USE MORTAL KOMBAT SAMPLES IN YOUR BEATS!!!
EACH BATTLE WILL HAVE 7 DAYS TO SUBMIT A BEAT!
EACH BATTLE WILL HAVE 5 DAYS OF VOTING!
*we can vote on this. if some people need more or less time, we'll make it work.

WINNERS ADVANCES TO THE NEXT ROUND! ONCE YOU'RE ELIMINATED IT'S GAME OVER, BUT PLEASE STICK AROUND AND VOTE ON EACH BATTLE! I THINK WE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THIS LAST TIME.

you should share this on some subreddits or something to get more contestants, sp forums is dead

p.s. i'm down if it's hardware only, but allowing DAW would make it boring IMHO

I always liked being Kabal in MK3, so... I'll be Kabal!

I can't officially join as I've only got the Koala sampler until the SP arrives but I'll happily have a crack at this 'off the record'.

Which is apt because I am new to the beat game, and this ghostly character is the evil, resurrected version of Sub-Zero. There's a vague parallel to the SP vs. Koala relationship...kinda!
