I AM CALLING ALL SP-WARRIORS TO ENGAGE IN SP-FORUMS BEAT BATTLE NUMBER 317

RULES

You MUST use the main sample.
You MUST use AT LEAST one of the drum samples, but you CAN use both!
You CAN add BASS if you like, but it shouldn't be the main part of the beat!
You CAN compress or EQ your track in the end after you record it into your computer, but all sequencing should be done in the SP.

CHALLENGE WILL RUN UNTIL FRIDAY MARCH 26TH SATURDAY MARCH 27TH AT 4:20PM PST

NOTE I encourage anyone to play with the samples and make a beat using an SP or not, but only submissions using an SP will be included in the final vote. As suggested by SP-FORUMS LEGEND Mr. Dibiase, I will also be sharing this battle on twitter.

you really freaked the sample to a different place. this is dope. i like that like micro delay(reverb?) you throw on the drums. reminds me of the FX in old jungle tracks on the drum breaks

Yo thanks for the kind words brother!
I used several time based efx on the drums yeah.. Like, regular delay for added kick / snare hits here and there, as well as 32 for the hi hat occasionally, but also used tape echo for that metallic drum sound, and pitch with feedback up'd a bit, for those gloomy echos in the chorus parts of the track.
There's one independent track in there, only pitched snares over vinyl sim
Chopped up a kick and used it w/ subsonic to play a bassline
And the harmony samples were treated with MFX 3 & 4

Mainly used isolator, mfx eq, mfx vinylsim, sp delay, mfx reverb, mfx tape, mfx i dont remember more..

Then played into cpu put on eq and comp then duplicated the length if the song. Bass is filtered from the sample. Drums mainly pitched down. Snare is pitched down hihat etc

out of town til friday, I had the chops on my 303 before leaving, but didnt upload thinking id have enough time to come back and finish.

Id love to contribute its been so long since ive been hyped about an sp forum thing! much love yall the flips so far are sick
