anybody used 1?

i've used 404sx
505 ..

OP-1

& various DAWs.

not seen much of the Digitakt .. but looks legit and a more appealing option over the latest MPC standalone units

.

Out of everything i've used .. i've found my most enjoyable experiences off the bat from Ableton ( once i figured it .. very intuitive .. and the OP1 .

Elektron got a few diff models . Anyone dabbled and how immediate do you find the workflow?

Not the Takt but have the Tone and it's amazing. The sequencer is top-notch and parameter locking is crazy fun. Cool connecting the Digitone to the 404SX so I could only imagine it'd be the same with digitakt

Well, it does sample, but I don’t know it can auto chop samples like the 505.

Nope, there is no chopping/slicing on the DT as far as I know. You have to set sample start point(s) manually.

You can still chop up the sample and create a pattern with the chops but the workflow is way different from a MPC or SP. Not better or worse, just different. Loads more of happy accidents, I'd wager :)

chopping can be pretty fast tbh. just muscle memory and one by one. basically like the sp-404 but with a wave form layout.
