I couldn’t resist.

I’ve seen this at my local music shop for $80, so I decided to put $10 down for layaway, and try it out in 2 weeks when I get my next paycheck. So, it is what it is, a DJ style sampler, memory slots, but no way to save your samples after you shut the power off. (My 505 can save what I capture with it)

I know it’s hardly for making beats with, but I’m sure I can use it to make loops from a record/cd, and the results can be saved to any SP or sampler I chain it to. (ST224/Akai S20 for example)

Not sure how much sample time you get, but nothing wrong with whack gear if you know how to use it. This guy used 3 records and a previous model to come up with this....

My version is just a rackmount version of the DS 1024, but for all I know, this might be a fun sampler to have, even though it can’t “save” its samples to a floppy or memory card.

Have any of you tried this unit??

I might pick it up Friday, or put half down and get it in the middle of June. I guess this was a DJ sampler that DJs could make a loop for the crowd. I am not sure how I want to set it up with my 202/505, ST224, etc.
