I always have a hard time voting.....
I went with LoopmantrA. I really like your style & how you used the sample. Loved the bassline you added.
ALMOST went with Lif, really liked your beat as well & loved the drums.
All beats were good & yes, very diverse!
Awesome how 2 of you added rhymes!
This sample was tricky, but at the same time it had a lot of great sounds.
It was a challenge, but really fun.
I started off drunk & finished it with the skunk

Well, shit. This was a struggle again, I honestly enjoyed all of the tracks, and I'm not saying that out of courtesy really, I'm starting to like this, I'm not looking at it as a competition, more like exchange of ideas and vibes.
I'd have to say that the two that stood out - as in I keep humming them in the back of my head all day) - are fresh-produce and Sharris.
And fuck me I couldn't decide.. I like them both so much, fresh-produce nailed that vocals shit, the groove is awesome and goddamnit should've been a wee bit longer track. Sharris... You know, according to chemistry - alcohol is a solution

loved the track, drums are amazing, loved the overall vibe.
But I couldn't decide. Also I was stoned. So I tossed a coin lol
Sharris won (2 out of 3), which I guess is only fair since last week I couldn't decide between teewok and Sharris, and went with teewok in the end
Anyways, this was a good one, keep these sick samples coming,I love it

Nice set of beats guys! Excellent creativity and variety. My favorites where Sharris - great sonic balance & groove, Johnsondontsurf - pulled off the drunken master approach, and lif - the space you create from just 2 notes is a lesson in effects usage... dope.

i voted sharris for the most pleasurable groove to me. clean Loops balanced Sound, just overall good track
i love the raps on johnsondontsurfs entry and the classic kung fu vibe. classic drums
fresh-produce best work on that main sample but could have banged a lot more for my taste
Loop mantra kept the time signature which is a hard thing to pull off for me so props to that
ch4ch you said it, hard as fuck. again, i might be very simpleminded in my hiphop head but i feel like a snare could have made this track my winner.
lif i agree you created a looot from small pieces. special mention for most epic feeling to it if that makes sense.
looking forward to next round

Thanks guys
These battles are a lot of fun. I think that was the best beat I've made with my sx so far. I've been usin it in different ways cuz of these battles.
Great beats everyone!
I recently got like 50 records for a buck a piece, from those record lots on eBay. I grabbed a stack rhythm roulette style, played songs & picked like 4 (some Japanese flute & harp, mommas & poppas, sydney Poitier & patsy cline....ran each song lightly thru analog heat, then went thru some drum break records, ran some breaks thru AH (soft, then hard, soft, then hard
Let me know if it's a problem using this stuff for the sample material......I thought the variety would be nice & I promise sampling it just now was the first time I listened. I'll put it all up by tmrw morning, if you prefer I get shit from YouTube or whatever just let me kno
