this was the hardest choice to make so far.. but invader zim came with a slightly better drum groove I would say... and I loved the plunky melodic layers in it... love how both used weed as a heavy theme... love weed lol

Nice beats guys. Really liked the overall groove of the Zim track. Cyril gets my vote for offering up a bit more variation. Well done fam!

went wt sneer. had me feeling like i was in a secondhand kush cloud in a basement somewhere. those laughs almost invoking a bad trip tho

sharris. i listened to yr beat the most actually. i have a bias against chill type beats in a battle but yrs had a soulful bounce to it. lowkey reggae feels on it or afrofunk something? guess i should peep the sample !

also biased against invader zim.u smoothed the vocal shots out. my nephews would ruin my after work couch nap wt that show back in da day.

Thanks for your input! Yea, I can post the sample......the melody is part of an intro on 1 of the Invader Zim episodes......I tuned it down by like negative 20 & chopped.

Drums were a chopped up drum break & bass is from Volca Kick. The triplet was a single hi-hat timestretched down in the sx. Added some simple scratches to TRY to make it sound like I got the vocals from a record instead of a dvd......didn't do so well, but whatever.

I used the radio tuner effect to make it sound like it was breaking thru the airwaves....... I've never used it & actually really like how it sounds in small doses. When I added it in here & there thru out the beat, I liked the sound of the ring it has.

I wish more people would explain how they make their beats, I love discussing workflows & the beat making process
