im NEVER have a problem with the wave converter program...
your problem is with bad compactflash card, this trade mark works perfectly, lot of people here use it.

change your CF.
hope all are well, welcome!

Hi all, I'm a new member to this forum and I own a SP 555 just 2 days. I have the same problem concerning waveconverter and CF cards as well. Managed to solve the problem with the CF card compatibility (bought several of them and finally 3 of them appear to be fine: most appriciated SanDisc Ultra II 2Gb. Twinmoss Ultra X 512 Mb X70 and Transcend 512Mb), anyway the waveconvert always corrupt my cards whatever brand they are. I suspect the Card Reader... I'll try a brand new these days and tell you what happen.
Cheers.

ive had alot of random brands of cards. I find sandisk to be one of the worst when it comes to the SP series.

Im not sure about the versions, but I downloaded the one from rolands site instead of using the one that came on the 555 CD.

I don't see that waveconverter on japanese site is different version. Even it behaves like waveconverter from other roland sites (corrupts CF card). Maybe some of you guys could post a direct link on this thread?

I'm using the latest version of Mac OSX, and when I try to install the Wave Converter application, I get an "Install Failed" message and to contact the manufacturer...Anyone else get this? This is really a bad way to start my 555 experience...

Hey everyone , first post so thanks so far for all the great info etc.

I had a few problems myself with the waveconverter software on os x leopard 10.5.4, pretty much along the lines as others had mentioned eg. corrupting of cards, failed imports etc.

after reading about the newer version on the japanese roland site i went and d/loaded it from here

http://www.roland.co.jp/support/downloa ... 0000023922

It solved my problems imports all worked and card no longer corrupted although i still feel my card maybe a bit shakey as im getting some odd artifacts when playing back some samples.. kind of crackling and popping.. :?
