I was looking through some old threads and there was this really cool thing they did back in 07 called the mortal kombat battle tourney... where each person who wanted to be involved picked a mortal kombat character and then each character was matched up randomly for 1 on 1 beat battles...there will be different amounts of rounds ,depending on how many people sign up. I think it would be cool to get at least 8 so we could have 3 rounds (including the championship)... I think its a great way to have some competition while keeping it light.

I was a part of the last one back in the day. Just picked up some Sps after a hiatus. Definitely been itching to get back in the game. Think this tourney would be a good way to knock the dust off.

Nice so we need one more ,or if we could get it up to 12 we could do a final three and do the final round 1v1v1... either way it seems like they had themed rounds back in 2011 when they did it... i was thinking that each person could just message me a link to a sample.. and then ill randomly assign them to the different pairings for the first round .. i dont think using actual mortal kombat samples is necessary although it could be cool.

I think this wouldve worked better if it were anonymous so one host only knows which character is assigned to which user !! Still looking forward to it though!
