it's kinda funny how differently i would listen to these beats with no reference to the samples or other entries.
it's hard to separate myself from general vibes and knowing the amount of fuckery people put into their work.

like eelxb's beat is pretty basic in the context of the battle but if i heard it on its own i'd be like "hands down, this is dope!!"

and Noddy has obvisouly put it crazy work with the chops and arrangement and it's got a totally different character. also dope, but doesn't hit my personal taste buds as hard.

i'm torn... just the way it goes..

guess i'll go with Green Dutch for having a bit from each end of the spectrum.

Very close second for me was Asha C.

Voted Noddy. I find in alot of these challenges the "beats" are over saturated with effects and just ends up sounding like a bunch of noise to me.

If you're just doing that to include mine don't even worry about it man, this pole is already well under way and my track wasn't that good anyway lol I'll just get in on the next one, no worries!

that's true... although there's also something to the fact that its supposed to be an sp battle... and since ive had mine ive realized the sp is all about the effects... the 404 anyway...


admittedly, my shit does come out sounding like a mash of noises but im trying to carve my own lane too. and, hopefully, eventually have something really good that I can say is my own sound
