Yes, That's the reason I'm decided to vote for him (Saint James). But I'd like to think about it once more.
Thanks MNK.KNW for changing the link to my other track.

I like MNK.KNW's track. It's well done, but It doesn't fit me personally, I'm not a big fan of kung-fu and the whole track is too dramatic for my taste. I vote for Saint James. Drums in the first half have some real groove.

Voted GD.
Rumors has it that years ago 2 of the best SP Kung Fu artists if not the best, decided to compete over this unknown style. One of the chefs fed up with sauté, boiling, smoking, BBQ, roasting and all the Kung Fu Kraze, suddenly disappeared and exit the dragon.
i bet they both still practice their kung fu, express themselves completely, sincerely and are on a process of continuing growth.
and like that he s gone

I have to agree with ryba, the kung fu shit is super played out. It on the level of Rhodes samples and overdone vinyl sim in my book. Not dissing anyone or anything, that's just my personal tastes, which are admittedly very bizarre lol like MNK said its just about expressing yourself sincerely. Voted for pillow, always dope shit!

i thought kung fu, soul, and video game beats were sp-forums favorites.
I don't listen to or make them often so theyre cool to me.
perhaps someone should do a hip hop battle diss to kung fu beat style in their next battle

I went with MNKs smoke session beat. Noddy, RYBA I liked those too. I love Kung Fu movies. Been making Wu inspired tracks since the early 2000's.

i love Kung fu beats, video game beats, rhodes sample, soundcloud lofi beats, bruitiste beats, as long as they carry a feel..
vinyl sim is the greatest sfx ever. gospel truth, period.
it's the way i feel about it… it can be copied. but, it’s the feel. You know? ask plenty beatmakers, musicians… "them know it, but them can’t do it".

I'm not very into kung fu either (appart thoses classic bolo tapes...haha) medium for video games and i over done rhodes flips (i stoped now) so i try to evolve into a new style but it's hard for me to renounce to vinyl sim...
beatmakers these days tend to make beats without any compression (or just a bit) but i'm still like "put that vinyl sim (or mfx 12) to max HAHAHA" (that's why i miss guys like aaronmaxwell, jamesmatthew, etc...:'( ) , i really respect people who want to create sounds wich are never been done before and it's hard because much things already exists (sorry for the bad english ; i'm a baguette holder looool)

I'll definitely make some rhodes style shit in a future, just because i love that sound. I don't care, if it's out. Same as kung fu samples. I don't care, It just depends on my personal taste (and I was never big kung fu fan). Anyway I don't have Rhodes in my closet, but have Hohner Pianet-Clavinet Duo, My personally favourite instrument. And the sound is close... I like it since I heard Doors Riders in the storm I think...
I'm too old to make some music because anyone other will like this or that. I need to make music, which I like in the way I like.
Vinyl sim is great, but I think I should use it for some drums, not always, and for other samples - rarely. As a spice.
