ill machine, who owns ? any tricks or tips

I got one.
Picked it up last summer and it is great!
I use it not only for recording but also for effekts. I connect the line out on my sp-404 to the line in on the br600. Then i record f.eks. a pattern with the ring modulator. then i record it back on to my sp-404..

now i got my pattern with a totally crazy effect!


I also use it to record every instrument i need a metronome while recording. plus it has a mutch better mic than the sp-404 so i record all my acoustic guitar and so on with the br600 then record it on the sp-404 via line input.

any more tips let me know!

The br600 rocks by the way, and works lovely with the sp-404!

hey, i have some questions i hoped you guys may be able to answer;

with the Boss BR-600, are you able to record the SP-404's patterns in, then replay them at the set BPM, and able to change in time to alternate patterns?

also, when replaying these patterns from the Boss, can you apply its effects live over the loops?

if this possible with the br-600 i would be very interested as it could be a good companion to the 404, to share the work between two units playing live would allow much greater tweakage of each component.

it has ill fx, but i wouldnt recomend it for live tweeking though.

This thing have sampling capabilities? Saw a youtude vid where dude was playing loops from the onboard drumpads. How does this work? Do the pads correspond with a particular track or something? If you can do this, how easy is it? I mean do you have to do a buch wierd shit to get the samples on the pads? I been looking for a hardware multitrack and this would make it a must have over all the others.

i dont remember 100% all i remember is that its a pain in the ass to sample to the br pads. I guesse you could make a beat on this machine but it would be tuff.

its pretty easy.. you record something to f.ex. track one, then you go to meny(utillities) toneload and select track, then you choose track 1 then you choose f.ex from measure 1 to measure 2.. or from 1 sec to 4 sec in the track.. then you choose the "drumkit"(samplebank) you want it in and whitch pad.. its pretty easy but it only has 12 seconds or something in mono.. that guy on youtube had one long audiofile on each track.. put he also sampled a litttle bit from the pads..
