Nice battle, big up to all!
Voted Letters, futuristic stuff!

@ CRSSSPACE
Dope beat bro, sounds perfect!
Can you tell a lil about your work/signal flow?

—> So cool how the loop is groovy and fat, yet extra energy and drive
comes from the cut up vocals. If it were about Letters then the track could
easily have been a minute longer. Powerful!

l i f
—> Best bassline! Nice little twists and attention to detail. Arrangement
is sparse and airy. Proud to have a beat in the competition from the guy
who made Letters fall in love with this forum.

jmlweb
—> This is not a mere sketch, this is a full blown track! The added synth
gives it musicality. Extra kudos for using the provided vocals all over the
piece with that much force.

Green Dutch
—> Did anybody not like this one? Nice how it breaks the rules for 51
extra seconds of what is simply a banger.

Chopperman
—> Loose vibe, relaxed feel. This is the way!

Axel DIY
—> Plain awesome. The break towards the end is killer and such a beautiful
sounding, thick instrumental. This one shows some serious bass work.

YakZUU
—> What was that? Did Jean-Jaques Perrey sneak into the SP-forums,
camouflaged as this beatmaker who goes by the name YakZUU?
Terrific style.

Rhua
—> Beautiful, unquantized vibe. More!

d4rkst4r
—> Eerie alien vibes here. Who allowed extraterrestrial vocals into the competition?
Letters certainly does approve it, though. Strong and cool.

CRSSSPACE
—> A beat like cryptonite. Give this guy a hihat sample and he will come
up with a Superman beat.

asha c
—> With the vocals being used more like a texture in the background and
not up front this has a dense and atmospheric mood, brooding and strong.

——————————

Thanks to Alnitak Kid for allowing Letters to host this battle and to Hifi City Sound
for pointing out the problem with the link (Seems like Soundcloud is still "processing"
the track after 3 days! Re-uploaded and now it works.).

Please excuse my School boy English, everyone!

Vote goes to YakZUU for plain originality.

All my fucking love to you SP heads!

aight some more feedback:

asha c --> damn. deep industrial flavour. i also like how u used that vocal sample. that thing would fit good with some visuals (maybe ask rhua tha mans good at that stuff)

d4rkst4r --> crazy flip man! esp the synth sample was floating on!

Rhua --> that kick was thick malord! kinda got that Ras G flavour! the bass synth works well with the drums! (my vote)

YakZUU --> if it weren't for Rhua you would've got my vote! that's what I call real lofi!

Axel DIY --> nice work on the kick too! digged the break on 01:08! :)

Chopperman --> deep style! vibin out w some trees to this one!

Green Dutch --> nice compressing job on this banger! did u use a tapedeck to bounce?

jmlweb --> nightmarish flavour to this joint. def referring to choppermans comment here! crazy flip of that voice sample here! :O

l i f --> nice work on the production man! wasn't expecting bars and wasn't expecting such funkeyness either haha!

Letters --> really trippy beat! how you chopped the shit outta that material is nuts!

otbt --> damn! like this synth wants to eat my brain! kinda reminded me of some pitched down anklepants!

again: much love and respect to y'all! digged all of dem beats! dope work! 8) 8)

Yo, I actually decided who i liked best days ago, but went back to the tracks each day over the voting period to make sure I wasn't missing anything... I'm still convinced.

Don't care that you went over the time-limit DUTCH... your piece a large loop repeated three times with variations mainly in the third section and you could have chopped the track to two repeats and been within time, but I would listen to that shit for half an hour and not get sick of it. Got the crunch and crush, the nod and the wacked out krautrock vibe like an SP Can or NEU!... easy favourite. It'll be up to someone else to break the deadlock, ha!

That oudadaway, cool to see you back OTBT - 8084LYFE.
