Hello: you got the grit-snare down

Parker: a bit like durdy, only more wine was consumed

Chopper: really subtle reverb and textures, classic chops.. this is a joint

Jpow: epic bigness to this... amplified the vibe but still chill, swinging hard.

Green: gave me Shopping Carts Crashing/Ends Against the Middle vibes love that moody early 2000's alt-rap electro-nasty

Alnitak: like what you did with the efx samples in the background, track is solid af...

MattmaN: MmmmMmM-Mmmm. This is one that peeps should listen to 3 or 4 times before judging... very understated but gives a lot on repeat. Dig the drumbeat a whole lot.

Senju: percs like putting a wooden spoon in the washing machine.. love that! leftfield goodness.

MagicSean: liked the chops a bunch... made those key samps sound modern-classic

Smoking: best use of sx/fx ive heard in a long, long time.. another track from this weeks batch i'd love to hear a defjux/APC/type acapella over

LastTry: lullaby for broken dreams.. reverb is nostalgic.. love those last few seconds

Well, way hard to pick one this time... offerings are real quality and uniformly dope.. if forced, i'd say top three GreenDutch, Smoking and Jpow, but such a strong week i'd love a mixtape of evryones tracks to bump in the new year.

Feels good to be back in the battlefield, I need to get back more seriously on te 404 after a long period focusing on other things ! looking forward to the next one !

I always love hearing what elements of the provided samples people gravitate towards. like some people go for the classic soulful or funky chops, some go for the haunting, atmospheric bits, some go for those organic, wooden sounds...

In the end I was choosing between parker (love the unexpected way you flipped that sample and created this woozy, smoggy kind of vibe), l i f (loving the shuffle on that percussion) and smoking patterns.

smoking won out for me in the end. love the way that track feels both primitive and futuristic. like blade runner in mumbai or some shit.

great set of samples flipped into a diverse and surprising set of beats this time around. i don't think i could have picked a better time to get involved here.

I liked JPOWs the most. Dope shit though fellas.
