Q about SP-555, sonar LE and midi keyboard

I've been trying to avoid PC for music for some time, but since Sonar LE
came with SP-555 I installed it to see how it looks.
As my laptop (IBM think pad R30--- P3 1Ghz) only have onboard soundcard I've tryed USB cable and use SP-555 as audio interface.
I like it a lot. I did some recordings from D2 groovebox to SP-555 and than via USB recorded to Sonar LE... so far so good.
Now I want to play my midi keyboard and use a VSTi synth that came with sonar. Can I do it with SP-555? Can 555 be used as MIDI interface?
I want to connect my yamaha cbx midi keyboard to SP555 and play/record softsynth in Sonar, is this possible?
It could be in the manual but it is not by the hand right now.
regards, crumb
