evertime i try to sample something when i go to play it back i cant hear very will i have tryed to fix the voulem and that does not work what am i doing wrong

could be one of the following:

--volume of piece you are sampling is too low
--record volume is too low. have the red light flashing / flickering, then roll it back just a bit
--you are playing it back too quietly

so what i'm getting at is: drive the volume of the piece higher, record it louder, play it back louder, and see where the problem is.
