Hey ellaguru - yo, that's cool i guess... it's just with the way the auto-poll operates you can only set it to 24hr time-blocks (as far as I know...)

Because the MWB runs to a tight schedule, if someone doesn't set the poll up midnight friday night it throws the schedule off, since voting closes midnight sunday/new samples uploaded on mondays...

and as we see above the poll you made is open until tuesday...

But mbe when the voting deadline clicks out we can shut down the poll? It's admittedly easier to have a click-poll but as I've sed in the past it's just courtesy to post a vote in the thread too..

Cheers!

@ella: how did you make your snare ?
the snare was made with the noise generator effect, i used a technique muted from the world of synth and experienced with my mc909, now i see that it could work with the SPs also (in this case the sp606). i modelled a certain frequency of the white noise (i think is white noise), EQd and filtered etc..., maybe this noise generetor effectis shared also by the sp555 and maybe the sp808 (lif gimme shout)...anyway, maybe something similar could be done with the radio tuning effect too, i think...

back in the days in the mid 90s, when i dind't bought any sampler still, i used to record those noises from radio frequencies, 1 or more minutes, to create snares pushing play in time on the recorder with one hand and hitting a cardboard to create kick on the other hand : ) crazy years...

Yes! 808 has this too, noise-generators and onboard-synth layering/mixing tho' i've not really explored it much... you really need to dive deep into the menus to tweak this stuff. Inspires me to make some battle samples purely from 808's onboard-arsenal of ring-mods/x-mods/oscillators...

sometmes i have tried the internal 606 synth, lots of submenus to dive in too, i think is the same sp808 synth roland brought into both 606 and 555; there is the noise frequency generator also in there, sometimes you could do interesting things with it, but in this battle i preferred to use the noise generator effect from the 606 fx list.

Yeh, poll is closed --- - Congrats ellaguru! ;-)

I've opened an SPMB#9 folder in the box and uploaded a 30 second sample-pack (drums + samps + a short acapella)... you do the same and we're in business. Have a read of the rules, but short-version is everyone can upload samples but your's or mine must be used in some way. Upload's on mondays and subs in tues -> friday.

Sweeet.
