Embedded links

Anyone on the admin side of the forum: can we set embedded links in the messages to open in a new tab or window automatically? It defaults to leaving the forum. I know I can right-click, etc., just wondering if the default can be something other than leaving the forum?
Or is there a user setting I can adjust?
