i will not vote, i think there were too many different songs or samples to pick and many different own external drums sources or instruments etc...it sounds to me more like a sort of Open Challenge (we have done it from time to time here), so very complicate for me to evaluate and be objective...
...but saying this i liked very much FreshSerfPro track (damn!!!!) and rak's(yes!)...

NOTE: I did not hear the original samples provided from the previous winner so my opinion is based off of the tracks themselves.

Dr00py: That sp-whine and heavy synth sound sprinkled with microsamples... Very Canadian, very good. Have you considered trying out for TEAM CANADUH?

Gis_Sweden: Very stark contrast to the previous track that I just heard. Reminds me that the Chinese New Year is coming up... Success or maybe heaven? Deng... This is getting philosophical real quick. (I appreciate that.) Ohhh, it's an interlude! Nicely done. I appreciate the concept. Very noble of you.

9 beat combo: where do i begin this is definitely weird and this is why I voted for it you were on some tribal type shit with this one makes me wanna sip ayahuasca and go crazy in the forest

asha c: SUPER dope synth work and the bass on here is incredible although I wish the snare was a bit punchier thats really digging for critique dope work

Doogs: fucking excellent for your first beat on an sp GREAT job and the second part only gets better with that almost whiney flute and a deep ass groove

Went with dr00py, mosytt likely cuz I'm a sucker for punk beat

amazing round, so unique approaches from everyone.
i'm terrible at comments, but here's what I came up with while listening:

droopy- #CANADUH lighting speakers on fire.
gis_sweden- i like the bass going in the background, the vocal kinda distracts from hearing the details in the beginning. End has cool soundscapes.
atls- straight to the point, panned drum/perc/hat hits give a nice full sound
chopperman- duuude, the second segment! perfectly balanced vocals vs. the beat.
l i f- my head's spinning, so choppy. maybe some constant sound would've made it flow a little more? i dunno, experiment is good though!
freshserfpro- drums and rhymes! repeated snare is nice. well mixed vocals on this one too.
musica- gritty! got an interesting eq on the last part
rak- slow and heavy, just how i like it. kinda cloudy. luv the hihat.
9beatcombo- tribal march anthem, on the way to destroy the neighbour village. dark composition. doesn't get boring.
asha- diff. sound compared to others, nicely used bassline. quite a few layers but doesn't fall apart.
doogs- first i was like oh this same ol break again but then I heard the flute part! rest doesn't dissappoint either, good catch on those bass freakouts.
lo fist- second beat is nasty. fat bass might've been great against the high flute, but already sounds really awesome just like this.
astronaut- can't go wrong here. the extra punch to the kick is good.

Hmm... special mentions would be chopper, fresh and rak.
but right now I'm feeling 9beatCombo's flip the most. maybe because i'm listening these in the evening.

dr0000py's veeery close at 2nd, that track is completly nuts. Played it with a mean look on my face, just like your tapes.

tough decision tough decision i was originally gonna give my vote to atls cuz those 2 beats he made was crazy but i had to give it to the hommie chopperman. dope track bud.

gis_sweden - Really cool collage feeling here, the panned delay made me feel like I was being pelted with samples, structureless and indulgent in the best ways.

ATLS. - Two solid flips here. first one had me bobbin. I really favoured the second one, I like how you used the Saikouba percussion as a place for the snare. those microsamples too...

Chopperman - The longer I stay here the more familiar I become with your work. It's hard not to let your lyrics take forefront on this joint, positive addressive rhymes, the wu-tang/bird verses had me smiling like a goof. Thanks for this.

l i f - Next. Level. Definitely a headphone listen to get the full effect. Stuttery and futuristic vibes. Disorienting. felt like this the entire time.

FreshSerfPro - Short and sweet. Straight forward purposeful flip. Enjoyed the flip switch when the verses dropped. Very cool class/school retrospective lyrics, felt genuine and raw.

ℳusicα - Well this is just a bouillabaisse isnt it? I love the beat that kicks in at 1:30, ish is B00MING. This is just a great variety of flips though. I'm partial to the last one, that endless kick..

rak - DUUUUUUUBBY vibes. That bass is relentless.. LOVE the flam snare sample on the latter half of the beat, fat. This track is incredibly vibing.

9 Beat Combo - ATMOSPHERE. I enjoyed the repetitive nature of this track a lot, it was pulled off really well and dragged me along for the ride. There were a lot of subtle variations you pulled as well to keep me engaged. I got some sweet surrealist RPG game vibes from this joint.

asha c - This one has a VERY special place in my heart. I got huge stoner rock vibes from this track, like if colour haze or bakerton group decided to make an SP album. Psychedelic. FEEL it. You're on my watchlist.

yon. - Love the ringy lofi.. sharp and metallic, but that bass is so subby it softens everything. Joint's like a crispy doughnut. "Where is the ginseng hidden?"

Doogs - Upbeat straighforward flip on the first joint, felt very jamsessiony. Loved the transition that lead into the second joint, very wonky feeling and had me bobbing. Very impressed from that second half. Don't need those training wheels any more

Lo Fist - Kicked off really well, impressed with the amount of swelling you got out of that track (was this all on the sx?). Solid chops, once again like a lot of people, the recording really shines on the second half, the flip felt incredibly familiar. Really competent work.

Self Taught Astronaut - Hey! Very straightforward flip, sprinkled with flavor samples and goodies. This is the kind of joint you listen to walking down the street on a sunny day making friendly gestures to people. Hey!


So much variety and solid beats on this battle. It was really cool to listen to all of it one after the other. It was like a compilation.
This is a hard choice, but I have to hand it to asha c for kicking me right in the stoner rocks.
