Couldn't decide between Freshserfpro and Alnitak Kid.
Had to go with Alnitak Kid though because it had a really hazy holiday vibe and I was really feeling it. All entries were dope though, I had a good time listening to these tracks

gis_sweden: thats a@%#!e stole the vocal part. And that annoying scream... But OK.
TheDingo: 1st part wild chops. 2nd part is dope.
scum 灰汁: entering another world
l i f: a controled explosion of sounds
ellaguru: experimental sounds creating an underwater beat.
Alnitak_Kid: sweet well balanced and with the 303-sound!
otbt: nice variations. Enjoyable indeed
Rak: flamingo style or not. Cool. You master this style.
FreshSerfPro: really nice beat. I’m working on the interpretation of your rap. How did you do that?
r4ph431: and here we enter another world again. Wild sounds.
I vote Fresh

MHO's
gis_sweden:
fattest drums with the sweet spot-tempo, great mixing... everything fits/sits in that groove and I like the fact that the tune is well-represented.
TheDingo:
Shake yr butt! Great opening minute set the track up for some kind of change but then kinda meandered to the end.. oh, here comes the switch up - nice! Simplifying the middle section would have made this a solid instrumental for a rap, cutting it out would have made a more solid battle track i think.
scum 灰汁:
really like this left-field-fuck-it attitude - the speaker-ripping ending puts a huge smile on my face.
l i f:
an unusual amount of extra time made more fruitful by having a functional SP for the first time for the last two years = kid in a candy shop.
ellaguru:
another track I wannna hear a rap over - I'm hearing Phife & Q-Tip in my head... great structure, best of lo-fi without just being muddy, this is how compression works in the SP series. f 'yr reading this, don't sleep on this track.
Alnitak_Kid:
I'm gonna contrast this one with ellagurus, sorry - the lofi here is the muddy, from-the-next-room kind that lacks punch. Like the beat/sample arrangement as it is, it makes a clear statement... but would you have considered taking it somewhere new and then coming back to the theme you set up? In a nutshell I thought it was solid, but you played a safe hand.
OTBT:
Yes! Someone used the guitar chords at the beginning of the tune! Sets up a super-grroove with the pitched vox bringing us into the right decade... wicked variations the whole way through make for a formidable battle track with loads of small details bouncing around the dynamic spectrum. Dope. dope. (yes, that is dope twice)
Rak:
Man, it must be just a matter of taste... I ain't feeling this one at all - I just hear an indistinct mess of loops, like the machine is playing you. That and the bass makes my stomach feel queasy. Yo, this sounds harsh, but obviously there's an audience for this so keep at it. My ears just crave a little more.
FreshSerfPro:
Big smile! Simple loop, sweet message. Was a little buried in the mix tho' - some filter/eq on the loop might have made the vox clearer without needing to raise the volume too much.. my head filled in the blanks with a swinging 6/8 kick and snare combo.
r4ph431:
Swelling... starts with a tickle, just gets bigger and bigger... okay, I apologise - I'm reading too much into this. Good example of cumulative/crescendo form.
Picks this week: Gis and Ella for simplicity coupled with mastery of compression and mixing. Scum for going his own way. And anyone who felt they took a risk. My vote for best battle-track this week is OTBT.

I voted freshserfpro, I'll try to make time today to give my thought on every beat this round. It was overall a similar sound due to limitation, but man every flipped it and made it their own. Great people working together to make a great battle.

Congratulations Ellaguru and FreshSerfPro..!!
men, many thanks , i'm very late on voting , busy times, but this should go to Fresh, cause i'd probably have voted for him, damn...Fresh, could you please explain you techinique to rap this time? it seems to me like it was sampled and someway played with sp...or not?...
...and sorry to not feedback anybody else, but i have really busy weeks now (new damn job), and at night sometime it's hard to make music; that little track i made was a first take, it misses some synths i would have add (from the provided samples), but time is time...as i said the track was enterely made on sp505 , from production to discreet mix and Mastering...the ironic thing is that no monitors were used, but studio headphones (audiotechnica ath-m40fs) and my stereo (old techincs amp and old sharp speakers), so still i didn't listened at all on my monitors this track , due to time
anyway nice battle by everybody!

man, many thanks, that's was my aim for that track, i thoguht about some early madlib production in mind when trying to record this track; someone -i think Lif- cited a tribe called quest, and thanks, the feeling was near this too when i was recording
