Sample pack: zippyshare

No theme this week, just a tune to flip and some xtra percs/synths/vox

Image

Rules:
1. Flip the tune
2. Percs/vox/synths: optional
3. Nothing outside the box: use only SP and provided samples.... DAW or external device allowed for bouncing & post-prod (just eq/mastering)
4. Everything outside the box: creatively speaking!
5. Turn us on ;)

Some smooth as fuck doowop, hit #3 on the R&B charts year 1959... a decade that deserves some serious digging, years '57 - '59 are goldmines for rockabilly, garage rock and rhythm and blues proto-soul...

I'll put the poll up: GMT 12:00 midday Sunday 14 December 2014

@ellaguru: rule 4 just means think outside the box and surprise us!

@dingo: synths are in the sample pack. . No outside elements in this battle, but of course, bend and warp to your needs using sp-powers.

congrats l i f! Great samples :-)
GIS_SWEDEN goes both hip and hop!!! I added voice samples from youtube. Is it OK?! ("2. Percs/vox/synths: optional") The rest, the beat, is made from the samples. Glad I found some minutes to complete this battle.

I just learned the limitations of the zip drive on my 808 while trying to record my submission. :?

Fuck. So sorry!

I'm in the same boat man... just yesterday lost another disc to my faulty drive with 4 days of work on that Sonny Rollins project :( Last remaining disc is only semi-functional, takes about 45 seconds to process a sample and that grinding click is bringing a tear to my eye... my only bright spot is an old dude in the suburbs reeking of cigarettes and beer has a basement full of obsolete electronics and may have a spare internal zip down there somewhere.. oh pleeezz
