Voted for Iif. I had a tough time with this one. Ellaguru was really cool, and I really liked Maax's entry a lot. I was truly amazed at some of the sounds you people are creating! Nice battle overall - great idea to mangle beyond recognition.

Wicked hard to pick one this week...not one weak track in all the submissions imo, skills on show, honoured to be amongst you all..!
Look, I don't know if everyone digs the feedback, but I really appreciated reading all comments and suggestions people wrote last week, both positive and contructive. And Im sick at home with cold with nothing better to do really, so Standard Disclaimer applies regards opinions...

Teewok -
Hip hop perfection, I downloaded, playlisted and am studying hard on how to cut like this

DimXL -
Love the squeltchy hook! Sweet hats, sweet groove, sweet prod

SleepyXTRA -
Head-nodding robot music - like mettalic blue-meanies

ellaguru -
Epic synths and bangs hard in the lofi... that lo-mid crunchiness! A proper live/battle set... way to keep it interesting

Commercialwasteland -
Really chill but buzzy at the same time with the ring/mod and truncated drumchops. Sweet use of effects/timing/spaces. Maybe some pitchshift/key change somewhere in there for variation?

JetsonNotes -
I feel guilty liking this one as much as I do... dirty, dirty ;)

Rojo Libanés -
Was gonna suggest a bit of pitchchange in the bass, but have decided I love the monolithic nature of the bass drone. Beat bangs hard, drives like a freight truck

Marco Grouch -
Man, you can do no wrong in beat-construction... Grrr..roove. Track wouldve made a sweet foundation for another layer of s#*t on top mbe if you'd not had the system crash? hope your HD/computer problems come right soon, that's a life-glitch no-one deserves (just a matter of time before it happens to me :P )

Max Freekowski -
Hazed out instrumental, great sample-mangling... middle percussion would have made a good intro to drop a beat-vocal over for the rest/ do an extended version?

Dskye -
Love hearing a live improv and samples were weeellsmashed (I think Im starting to recognise 404 music as separate from other sp's)... totally cool as-is, but if you were to pull some of the tightest loops/resample from this, you could construct or re-juggle something next-level imho

My hands-down fav. was Teewok.. But since the battle was make unrecognisable the origins of the samples and Echo tha Dolphin was still very recognisably Green Dolphin Street Im gonna vote DimXL.
(Props to Sleepy - I dig blue meenies)

(Sweet Damn!! thanks for the vote, Jetson! 8) )

Voted for sleepy, it seems the protégé has surprised the mentor with mastery of the ringmod

sorry I do not have time for a track by track breakdown even though I liked a lot of these but there is a certain tape that must be planned out and initiated
