Pad Transplant part 2 (video)
I had done this once before, but since my memory is not great I had to relearn it as I went. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rvIXk-G ... e=youtu.be

Dope tune, and I'm sure this will be useful for someone wanting to perform the same surgery on their box.

thanks bro, I hope it does help someone do this. its a bit nerve-racking but there's nothing like reviving a dead SP!

How much were the replacement pads? Did you have to call up roland directly? I should probably grab an extra set of pads while I still can!
.... makes me wish I woulda bought an official colored faceplate back when Roland carried them for the OG404

I emailed Roland and they responded:
"You can order parts directly from our Customer Support department at 323-890-3700 ext 7005. They are available Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm
Pacific Standard time. "
New pads are only 20 dollars plus 6.50 for shipping.
Those in other countries would have to email Roland for the phone number.
