Problem connecting 606 to my Mac for USB sampling

Hey


I used to be able to connect my 606 to my macbook and sample via usb

the 606 used to show up in the audio preferences screen on the mac.

now for some reason it wont detect it no matter i put on the USB Audio/MIDI screen on the 606

i have an iMac with iOS 10.7 and a macbook with iOS 10.8 and neither of them recognise the 606.

i tried loading the 606 as an external drive with the EXT mode and it recognised it so its not the USB cable

any help?
