Deadline is tuesday the 22nd @ high noon...
(I extended the deadline afterwards, cause of a personal reason... 8) )

I'm not quite sure, but as long as I set the rules for this battle ( 8) ) I'll say it's ok... may some others spend some words on that...
... but anyway I just can repeat, WHAT A DOPE BEAT! I like world-music influenced stuff soooo much !!! Glad you joined the arena!

..did you use stereo samples? how "big" is your polyphony on that machine?

Now it's getting critical... I don't know man, ask yourself... I mean normally it's been said "chop it up in the machine" ... I really don't know what to tell you... how do you think about autochopp did it with cool edit? I don't care about that.. but I think some users might... I would say do it but don't tell anybody about that... 8) I wonderd if the 808 has a real pitch? ... but anyway to me it don't matter how you chop it up... would be nice to hear some more opinions ?!

The original rules say
quote the great ig9
1. All SPs only SPs. all chops, all sequencing

No chopping in any software or any other hardware. The original idea of these battles was to see what you can accomplish with just a sample and your SP. I dont want to be a dick about it but those are the rules. Of course I am only one person, what does everybody else think.

I'm not trying to critisize software but I dont understand the point of using a computer to edit samples when you have a sp. is it really that much better to chop on a computer? I never messed with software much but it seems like a lot more trouble than its worth.

I agree with juxt. Chop in the SP.

Thanks to wax and zeal for the quick feedback! This one is definitely gonna get hot... lets go!!
