Hello fellow Sp users. I´m quite in a hurry so I just picked some music I listend to in the last days anyway. A little bit of everything, afterwards I noticed that all the records are german. Embryo is a western german band, considered as Krautrock, Fun Horns and Bayon are band from the former GDR.
the drumbreaks are from a drumbreak collection 10'' maybe you could use his voice aswell

(east) german rock? hella tempting..
you people pick a lot's of samples these days - hope those are in key since pre-pitching is still a no go, right?
def wanna participate in these battles again - also thinking about another tourney for the future...

so many questions, try to answer them all
@MUMA : You can use your synth for basslines, or detail, but try to keep it basic and to create the main "melody" out of the samples. I know these things are hella fun to work with
@chopperman : I got the message with the track, which is super dope, I gave it a proper listen on my way home last night, really dig these lyrics. Other than that, I received no further messages on soundcloud, BUT my pc tend to fuck up all the time, especially on soundcloud, the pm function in this forum seems to work better. ... Funny on one hand I work with drumcomputers, keyboards and other electronic stuff all day, but when it comes down to a pc or notebook, I'll fuck them up within weeks ... everytime
@dimXl: Hell yea!
@stupidgunner: nice track! really like your chops!
... now stop asking and start working
cheers

And tiredriots replied ues that would be alright-
I don't get how sequencing on a DAW makes it very SP oriented. In the end is it just "make some element of your track on an SP" and that is all?
Maybe I am just used to the resample challenge idea where you HAVE to stay in 1 box.
Maybe an updated rules list would be in order for peeps like me who just don't know the rules!

I used SP-Battle148 sounds and some words of bad advertising about sp404sx
The track cooked in the guts of 404sx
have fun!

I don´t use any computer programs, I work with sp and a multitrack recorder, I don´t know how all this computer stuff works, but since I posted the samples, everyone was asking, can I do this can I do that, so I decided to leave you guys some space for your own workflow/creativity. Sequencing on a Daw might be not very sp oriented, I know, but its to late anyways. On the other hand, I´m just about dope music, so please, one last time
Rules
-Use at least 1 sample
-no outside drums
-you can use a bass or synth for basslines
-prepitching is allowed
-since I already said yes, you can sequence on your daw (yea hate me for being kind)
-scratching and voice samples are allowed
don´t get me wrong, but I won´t answer further questions, because there will allways be somebody who disagrees with the rules and we can talk for ages about how the rules should be or shouldn´t be OR all calm down and start making beats again.
cheers
btw dope flip dimXl
