Just won a tascam porta one on ebay.

Looks pretty dope. anyone have any experience with these? Got it for mad cheap, hopin to track my beats through it. Any advice on where to find a manual?

If your talking about one of those cassette recorders its a piece of cake. You probably wont need the manual as long as you understand how a multitrack cassette works. Even if you dont it aint hard to learn.

Yeah its a 4 track cassette. The only thing is, is that it didnt come with the power adapter. i dont know how hard those are to find but for how much i payed i though that it was alright.

I have one of those Tascam portastudi 4 track cassette machines as well. Mine also does not have a power cord. It's a standard 9V power supply. I often use my SP202 with batteries and use the 202's power supply with my 4track. Won't be a problem to find one at all.

works perfectely as long a you get some nice quality tapes.

i've got a tascam 4-dimension track and i love it. my only issue was actually finding a place irl that still stocks cassette tapes. i just about cried when i found out maxell was out of the tape game.

damn for real? maxwell dont make tapes anymore? besides names thats long gone maxwell is the only name I know of that is worth a shit. I gotta stock up on maxwell type IIs I saw them in a store not too long ago.
