Walking back to house and came across a box of cassettes with a FREE sign taped to it. Likely, I picked it up and took it home.
It's mostly a bunch of private mixtapes made titled "Best of 45s" with alot of jazz and big band music on them.
The kind of stuff I like to sample.
Anyhow, I had an idea for a project sampling from all them and calling it "B-side Tapes".

Looking forward to hearing what you sample/chop.

Now I want to buy an old Tascam Porta.
There's a Teac 4 track for sale for 50 bucks at the record store near me, but the Play button is wacky. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
I don't want to buy gear that already has problems.
Plus, the girlfriends birthday is in 2 weeks. And need to buy her something before I buy anymore gear.

I'm still messing here and there with the old tapes I picked up off the side of the road.

Here's one I ran through my Realistic variable speed cassette recorder. It's got both pitch and speed controls.
I call this one: ragtime - https://soundcloud.com/mattcoopshiphop/ragtime-pitch-bent
