Yo waddup Asha C,
Yes you have to use our samples only.
No outside anything.
i hope fam get creative/mess around with the drums and sounds provided to make own drums.
like the kung fu samples at the end,
the original ''punch''sounds are sticks/can be used/RESAMPLED/mixed/ as drums.

I am working on one for this- love the concept- all drums and sounds on mine will be from found sounds no samples of drums etc. Having fun but I have never used the sequencer on the SP so I have some learning ahead of me- thanks for the battle!

ooh f**k I used two extra sounds recorded with the mic (the snare glass sound and the stretched toys sounds starts at 0.38), i just read too quickly the rules and i assumed those sounds could be included in the fields recording.
No problem...i put my beat in out of competition mode on" .

Hey Auqs,
No problemo you can put your beat back into the competition because of the field recording.
Its a lil tricky with the rules i gues, its fine if you make drums with field recording-
FIELD RECORDING SOUNDS ARE THE ONLY OUTSIDE SAMPLES IN THIS CASE.

:D

Had a lot of fun with these samples, great work hosting the battle fellas.
A few days ago my headphone wires got snipped by a sharp cabinet. I usually make all my beats using headphones mostly and need some time to save up for new ones, so this is the first beat I've made without headphones for a long while. It was very liberating, and I may have let a bit too loose. Things got pretty sloppy. But I had a great time and learned a lot. I guess my lack of headphones turned out to be a blessing in disguise (DUDE. BRO.) Another good thing that came out of it is that it made me think up a way to make my stereo sound better. I bought a couple 8th inch cords and used the splitter that I use for recording vocals to combine the sounds of my boombox and iHome, which complement each other wonderfully!
