how are you guys using acapellas?
i'm tryna cut up some nice lines, load them as samples and tap it out Primo-style (using Gate i guess)
maybe layer a scratch sound under the phrase i slice?

Nooo, please don't do that.
Everbody who scratches will notice the difference between the vocal and the layerd scratch. I dunno how much you care 'bout "realness".... but imitating a scratch is pretty whack my man... 
(no advice, just some hiphop-heart feelings...)
I know you scratch too, so why should you fake around?!

with my mixer out of action i am trying to compensate
my acapella vinyl is sitting there unable to be cut, so i thought i'd try a workaround
but yeah i tried it last night and it sounds fucking horrible
i didn't even layer a scratch sound, just tapped the phrases out
it's like they come outta nowhere without the true vinyl scratch
ah well, it was a learning experience
