Behringer FCB1010 triggering SP-555 using 2 midi channels?

Hi there, I posted this same question in the SP-555 tips and tricks, but it's possible it's more a question for people familiar with Behringer FCB1010, so please forgive the cross-post:

I have successfully programmed my Behringer FCB1010 to trigger samples on my SP-555 in banks C-E (I don't use A and B because I use samples on a flash memory). I want to trigger samples in banks F-J, which seem to communicate on midi channel 2. Does anyone know a good trick to get the FCB to change midi channels as I change its banks? Or maybe another workaround that I am not thinking of?
----------------------------------------------------------
Here's an example of what I want to do:

FCB bank 00 (midi channel 1) footswitches 1-10 trigger> SP-555 pads 1-10 in bank C

THEN

move the FCB to bank 03 (midi channel 2?? Is this possible?) footswitches 1-10 trigger> SP-555 pads 1-10 in bank F
----------------------------------------------------------
So far all I can find is that the FCB midi channel for note on messages is global to the entire machine. I don't want to have to change the global setting on either machine mid-show as both involve turning the power off (loud pops) and doing a complicated button-dance. Any info would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm not familiar with both machines but I have an experience with midi.
If you are not using a laptop onstage ,an (expensive) solution is

http://www.midisolutions.com/prodevp.htm

You can set to transform the fcb note midi channel, when fcb send bank change messages...
But I would prefer a cheap netbook instead!
