SP-404 Q&A's

Problem: What compact flash cards will work with the 404?
Solution: Generally speaking, Sandisk and Kingston cards are safe. Avoid anything more than 1gig. some people deliberately use smaller cards (ie: 256mb or 512mb) to keep cost down, without any performance issues. There seems to be a bit of back-n-forth about what other brands of compact flash will work with the 404, so generally refer to the Roland compatibility chart:
http://www.roland.com/products/en/_supp ... &prd=SP404
Or if you find a deal, search the forum for info on that card, specifically.
