I know a bit about panda bear.

Mainly use 2 (or sometime more) samplers (303s 404s maybe even 555s).
No sync, no pattern, i'd say it's mainly one shots while a loop or 2 is running.
He prolly as a song per bank, on each SP, so he can fade from one to the other.

I don't think he produces everything on SPs. Prolly some stuff tho.

Shlohmo is mostly computer stuff, with ableton iirc, he also record bunch of stuff (guitar/ambiance....)

Shlohmo needs to knock it off with that Trap shit. He has his own lane with the heavily compressed melodic steez with the found sounds and cool synth design. If he becomes a follower, following these trends, he's out of his lane with that shit and will get left behind. Sounds like he tried out that James Blake lane for a minute, too. Just lately, little tracks that have been coming out have been way too clean and trap inspired. My 2 centavos...

I kinda agree man, I mean although he makes the songs sound better than they did... he still should stick to what he's been creating cuz that's where he shines, I wouldn't wanna see an artist with that much potential get swept under the mainstream rug
