Pad Repair / Pad triggering problem

Hi,
Just picked up a used SP-555.
Everything is fine except that the pads are acting weird.
If I want to sample on pad 1, I have to hit pad 2 in order for 1 to light up. This applies to the rows of pads below pads 2 and 4.
So when I play back samples, pad 2 triggers 1 and 2. (pad 6, triggers 6 and 7...etc. etc.)
Initializing the SP-555 didn't help.
I figure this is a contact problem which could be easily repaired.
Has anyone taken apart or have a link of a SP-555 teardown? I can't find one.
I figure since I've repaired a MC-505, this repair should be a breeze, I just need a guide or pictures.
If you've repaired your pads yourself, can you share your experiences? I want to avoid sending it in to the shop if possible!
Thanks

i've fixed my SP555 - the issue was pad 13 was not triggering unless you bashed the hell out of it.
I don't have pix, I think i just started taking mine apart , just remember what screws go where and the order of stuff....to fix it I just added some scotch tape to that contact to raise it up, works great now.
I'm not super technical and it was a pretty easy repair....oh and you'll need allen wrench for the front plate.

I took mine apart tonight and cleaned the board leads where the pads hit and the little plastic thingy between pads and board with alcohol.
Worked like a charm.
Just take it apart sloooooooow, take note of which of the 20+ screws go where, etc. Unplug ports inside carefully if you need to...
All in all, it was harder than a computer, not as bad as a tape deck, maybe tied with an accordion?

Just to want to know about the pad repair it’s a very common thing of girls to use it. Many years ago I read
resumewriters.com reviews where people not talk about the pad repair because they shy about it which is very wired thing.
