Near to buy an SP-303

Hi to all I'm just thinking to buy an SP 303.
I always used software, started from Jeskola Buzz in 2000, then Reason, and now I work a lot with Ableton Live and my DSI Tetr4 synth (and a crappy Casio cz-1000). All it's fine with my production, but i'm not totally satisfied about the drumming lines, I feel that I need more dirtiness and compactness in my drums loops.
I would like to be more creative in my drum programming and work with classic Roland 808 sounds or vinyl samples to create something dirty / techno / hip hop oriented.
This are my sounds: http://www.soundcloud.com/railster
I would like to have an SP 303 to work with drums and re-work my drum loops, than record it into bounces in ableton live when i'm fine or working with Effects, i love vinyl effect (and stopping vinyl like) like artist like fly lo, or others from LA.
When I will be play in live I've thinked it would be nice to use my Ableton live to send midi to my machines, so i can have a cool live exibition, i have also a mpd32 wich i hope i can re-use with this setting.
I'm not sure to go streight with a sp303, that is totally crazy, or saving money and buy a 404 (that i dont like the design) or a 555. I never heard so closely that differences of this machines.
Someone else have synced the Ableton Live with the sp 303 via Midi?
Thank so much.
