Say the sample(s) get posted on Sunday by the winner (hopefully as early as possible). Folks submit beats up until 11:59 pm GMT Wednesday. Then the voting goes till Sat until 11:59 pm. Next week: repeat. That way, we have a consistent weekly battle you can count on.

If the previous winner's computer is broken or are in a coma and they post nothing at all Sunday, then someone can volunteer on the previous battle thread to post something up and be permitted to do so as long as there is one cosign from another forum member.

Looks like my shitty running of battle 109 sparked some structure! Maybe you can just make a rule where I do not run it! That'd probably fix everything!

Not you, dude. Been an ongoing thing where there is questions in every battle.

If everyone agrees, then I think this would be a good idea indeed.

It will mean the future winners will have to check back during and right after voting stopped a bit more often than now seems to be the case, but I do not foresee huge problems.

Going by the last posts in battle 109, DJ Mellow will be the first to go by these new standards...maybe someone should pm him and make sure he's aware of this new style of battles...they're going to start on certain day of the week each time, no?

Obviously this week is shot for this timeline, but we can start one up and have it end Thurs instead of Wed. Have voting end by Sat 11:59 and start up the new week with the new timeline. I think these battles are fun and I don't think they would be hurt by a schedule. Probably have more participation in voting and competing because you know when to make time.

sorry guys, just had the chance to read the new progress, so yes i can put some samples up for the new battle and i have no problem with a more consistent structure. i just won't be able to put some up till later tonight if everyone's okay with that, if not, then someone who has the immediate initiative can put some up, i'm fine with that.
