if i were to use another pad to control my sp, like a trigger finger or a pad control would i be able to record velocity change(volume) into the 404's sequencer? i kinda doubt it, as i would have to record a pattern using the 404 and i don't think i can send that (record on) midiwise. so...

is velocity sens from external controller for playback only?

of course i can record this into an external sequencer such as the mpc but not from the trgger finger into the 404's sequencer; right?

the 404 supports velocity, the 404pads just don't.

The 404 will record all velocity changes
