I'm intrigued by this thing, but I just wish there was a better demo video of making a beat. Does it sample...and if so, how far can you manipulate the samples? I've been hearing a lot of electro beats from these things, but what about freaking it with record samples or using analog synths with it?

you can sample like crazy - check out youtube for djthomaswhite - he did some nice demos.
also - on my soundcloud there is a "op-1 stuff" set under sets. that is ONLY op-1. nothing else. also bridge soundcloud (virtual flannel) is very, very much done with op1 (ipad and biscuit I guess). Then there is komsat as well.
I am not affiliated with TE but I am telling you: if you can afford it (it is a lot of money) then go for it! this thing is nuts and it changed everything for me. and I am not even joking about that,

They sold out in a hurry! Only doing small batches is an interesting way to do biz but I guess it's working for them.
Most of the latest beats on my Soundcloud feature an OP for synth stuff FYI. I've thought about doing a beat video of some nasty shit, I'll have to get on that in the near future.

I got in on this go-round and I'm so excited. Dunno how I'll pay it off tho haha. Can't wait to use it on 3 hours I spend daily on the commuter train.
Blue_lu/yellow-tangerine's tracks pretty much sold me on the OP-1. Inspiring tracks and head and shoulders above others I've heard imo. I wonder how easy it is to get clean loop points as some tracks I've heard have clicks on the loop points.
