Do any of you guys own a loopor pedal? I have been wanting one for some time,i just dont know the differences in the three that boss has. I was thinking of getting a trip five for a looper but have heard some controversy over its loop capture function with the foot switch. Any input would be helpfull. I just wanna rock my turntable and mixer live and do some cool looping. I have two 1200mk5s and a vestax mixer for my dj stuff. Any thoughts? I want to scratch a drum break abd add to it live.

My dad had the original "Boomerang" looper pedal and I loved playing on it and I wanted to get one of my own and saw the Boss RC20. After trying it out next to the JamMan, there was no comparison. At the time, the JamMan was more expensive, but it felt sturdier, there was more locations to create and store loops, there were better inputs, including an XLR mic preamp, there was a USB port for importing and exporting your loops, it came with the power adapter, and the output works as a line out so you can use it with headphones. The output was the deal breaker for me though because later, after reading the RC20's manual, I found out that its designed to be in line with a guitar amp (different impedance) and thats why when I plugged headphones into it sounded like shit when I tested it in the store. And now the JamMan is 60 bucks cheaper! No brainer here: go with the JamMan.

I have a jamman solo now it gets the job done for me.
But now the rc 30 is out i must say that thing is a good bang for buck.
If i were you i should look at wat you need.
minimal need: jamman solo
A little bit more need: rc-30
Much need: rc-50 or the jamman delay

I hadn't seen this pedal. Sweet.

I have been sussing these out.. the 2 track roland one looks pretty sweet, but damn they want alot for em... even just the 1 track.. also I think I need a bit more than just tap tempo... if it had a bpm selector knob thatd be enough even.

the boss pedals got a better response then the jamman! i didn't liked the jamman and i had all loopers... all? yepz!

calling myself a tablist as well i would recommend the rc30...

i'm doin the same stuff, you want to... beat-cutz+bass on one track; samples on the other... way more options to make a diversified routine, compared to an one- track looper... the rc50 is too hectic for a tablist imao and the pedals... oh well...

hey jeff, here is a little 2track loop i just made... it's quit long but it shows all effects of the rc30... usually i use to scratch over such beat.

if you're out for big live compositions you really gotta think about ableton; everybody switched over to that... there might be a reason...
the new traktor scratch also offers a really cool looper.

i have the rc-20xl and love it. there are limitations, but i can deal with them. the rc-30 review thread mentioned above ^^ is kick ass. great overview.

not sure how i got brought up maybe you were mentioning another tim or someone you thought was me.... but i am always looking and always reading.. im a nerd when it comes to things im passionate about. ive been in a dry spell since i got ripped off on my 555 and have hardly touched my gear aside from a few 3am drunk freestyle headphone sessions. meh. loopers have always interested me i just dont have much of a use for one... that dood DOSH uses the rc2 and other loopers and he does interesting live shows but i dont really like listening to his stuff aside from live.
