so I have a question: why the hell would you buy this over maschine? maschine looks so much better...

if you like mpc style drumming then the maschine is where its it if you like both drumming and drum programming (electribe style 16 step sequencing) then the spark is more for you. the spark is more of an electribe on roids than an mpc style controller(maschine). ive heard you can set up the maschine to do step editing but this is pretty much the way to go if you prefer that style.

this Spark is a synth/sequencer/sampler/controller at the same time? not bad at all. if it is, maybe is not in the maschine market, but in the op-1 one...
what's the price?

edit:
i think is not a sampler too...
500€ is not too much, but...

the more i look at it the more bummed i am. based mostly around just drums and as much as i like the sequencing/live abilities but the lack of other sounds/banks is pretty lame. ive been messing around with the demo and im having a hard time believing how "basic" the unit it, maybe im just not getting it yet. it does say its set up to use other software and comes with a template for abelton... meh i donno

I'm sure somebody will come up with a cool m4l patch to use with this. $500 is a lot of money for a controller tho. I'd spend like $200 more and get an MV8800 with monitor and mouse :)

is it a synth too or not? if it is "just" a drum machine/controller, then 500€ is too much...ok, it has a sequencer if i undertsand well, but this alone not justify that price...

for the MV 700usd only??!?? here is more more more...
damn, i came to live in the usa :)
