i use an SP-404, an Alesis Micron, 2 turntables and a mixer and some FX pedals.
i really like the setup i have now. it may seem simple (i record everything into my hi-fi cassette deck) but it's cool.
i normally put my micron through some FX and do the basslines on that and then sometimes i'll scratch my drums or just bang them out on the 404s pads.
then after i have a loop i just scratch over it.

I have:
SP202
Pioneer turntable
lots and lots and lots of records.
microKorg
Tascam portastudio
6 or 7 guitar and bass effect pedals
EMU 0404 USB interface running to a shitty Averatec laptop that I run Cool Edit on
MPC1000
I needed a mixer really bad just for live purposes, not for recording, so I bought a 25 dollar (including shipping) 5 channel Behringer mixer off of ebay that I'm really happy with. It doesn't sound all that great, but not all that bad either, and it was only 25 bucks so you can't go wrong.

I've probably got very different gear compared to most here, because I'm not a pure hiphop or techno guy at all. My main music genre is actually something between rock and blues, but lately I'm trying out some different stuff (sample-based and all sorts of styles) and had to buy some new hardware, like the SP 555 and the microKorg.
Anyways, here it goes;
Hardware:
microKorg, SP-555, Line6 Rifftworks, Line6 Variax 500 black guitar, Line6 POD XT live, Line6 Toneport UX2, Line6 Vetta II (yes, I guess I'm a Line6 whore lol :p ), AKG C5900 mic, an older Shine Custom guitar, Fender 50th anniversary Stratocaster guitar, Kustom 60W AMP... and a very decent PC.
('wishlist': a turntable, a mixer and most likely a SP 606 at some point.)
Software:
Pro Tools, FL Studio 7 and some light editions of different kinds of software.
I had even more full-version software, but I've sold most of it recently.
('wishlist': 'something that can 'auto-chop' ' )
I may have forgotten things, but basically this is it...

I'm now officially poor hehehe, but it's worth it.

Phemox - the SP-505 has the most advanced autochop around; up to 32 slices! (the autochop on the 606 is pretty good too, although only 16 slices).
Anyway, on topic, My equipment list has diminished somewhat since splitting from my partner, so now I'm working with; PC (Sonar, Acid, Soundforge, Kinetic and P606 (yep, it's actually getting used)), SP-606, MC-505, RY-30 (drum machine), V-50 (synth), UA-20 (interface), 2031a Monitors, Numark TT, Alto mixer, Numark DJ mixer.
Wishlist - SH-201, SH-32 or Korg R3 (or another 'hands-on' synth of some sort).

I like the deer's blood personally, it gives my beats a nice jager feel to them.
