$400 for a 1k is really cheap. I assume that's the blue-n-red / spiderman mpc (as opposed to the black...uh, spawn?...ones). if so, red/blues are known for developing non-responsive pads. if you get to test it, check EVERY pad. if any are dead, bear in mind the fix (when it is available) is at least $180. still not a bad deal on a 1k, tho.

btw: i've had a blue/red and it had NO probs.

505's are fairly common in canada. must be the weather.
sampletraks are hard to find (unless yr olby  )

i donno why, but i'm loving this thread!

my mates got the superman 1k, had it for a while and has no probs with the pads. However they aint as soft on the fingers as the black ones tho. i think it jus a matter of luck with those old pads.

really wanna play with the 505.

i put gear talk on the same level as dirty talk with the mrs hahaha. hands on the desk please!!

before buying the mpc 1000 black, everyone advised me not to buy the blue one 'cause its fragile pads. Fauna you're lucky :)

speaking frankly i can find another one only for 50€ right now here...it's strange that is rare (and maybe more expensive) in canada/usa...
