E.O.O. i am down with the resample beats....it is crazy creative people. just imagine all the sounds you can resample. if you do the sequencer way, your limiting your self with the amount of polyphony. resampling will free you of that limit. it is crazy easy to.

so hands up if your making a resampled beat! (my hand is up!)

or would could make two beat tapes...on for all and one for resampled?!

Never mind, I just tried it. I never really noticed that you can use multiple samples when resampling! This is actually pretty awesome. I realize I can finally export my beat in stereo, which is fun since I've never worked with pan and stuff before.
I'm definitely in on this.
When's the deadline, Euclid?
And are there any other stuff that has to be part of the theme? Like the track length?

EDIT:
Just noticed that my post count is 555, and niq names' is 606 :D

euclid, great video and an informative step into the world of resampling.

personally i tend to go back and forth between seq and resampling. but my

hand is up to try and submit something entirely resampled.

PHeMoX wrote:( Also how about this little idea: "SP-FORUMS BEAT TAPE Vol.3: The MicroWave sessions". Its a mouthful though. :p )

Microwave beats are tracks that get done in like 30seconds. You know the ones that practically make themselves with no effort.

they way i done it is like this...

made my main loop and played it out into GB,
on another track i played a few extra bits,
on antoher track i record any percussion,
on another track played out my drums.

no seq, but not alot of resampling going on as far as making the actual beat goes. is this acceptable??

awright - i stepped out for a couple of minutes. when i left this was just another beat tape, now its no-sequencers. either way, totally cool. i'll get working and submit something.

i think as far as names go, "no sequencer" should be in there somewhere. give peeps a context for what they're hearing.

coooo coooooo.
